Christmas Float Completed
Once again the Lions have been around the town and surrounding area over the month of December with Father Christmas in tow. Many thanks to Warminster residents for their generosity.
Garrison Bonfire Night A Success
The Warminster Lions Club, assisted by members' families and friends, supported the Garrison Bonfire Night celebrations on Friday 6th November 2009. The Lions prepare & sell hot dogs, Gluwein (mulled wine) and hot chocolate as well as sparklers from tentage erected by the Army and using heating equipment loaned free of charge by Sydenhams Tool Hire on the Woodcock Road Trading Estate. The Club also manned its ever-popular Teddy Tombola and Candy Floss stands. This year nearly 20 Club members ( out of a total strength of 30, including 'retired' members ) plus half as many family members volunteered to help out. Proceeds from all these activities go into the 'pot' and donations are then made to local good causes and Service Charities.
