What We Do
Our Club is part of the world's largest network of voluntary service organisations, Lions Clubs International (LCI) which aims to create and foster a spirit of understanding among the peoples of the world. Lions take an active interest in the civic, cultural, social and moral welfare of their communities and promote the principles of good government and good citizenship. Our main objective is to help people less fortunate than ourselves . The money we raise through our activities is used principally to help people in the local community, but also, in line with the Lions’ worldwide perspective, to help those in need elsewhere in the UK and in other countries, whether as a result of natural disasters or endemic shortages of equipment, facilities or services. None of the funds we raise for our Charitable Trust go to pay salaries or administration costs: Club members' subscriptions pay for our running costs. Any donations made through LCI are channelled through Lions Clubs in the areas concerned so again, none of the money goes to meet administration costs, local Lions ensure it all goes directly to support those in need.

Also - we would like to hear from any local businesses that would be interested in sponsoring larger Lions events or have ideas for fundraising ventures. Initial discussions take place on a confidential 'no commitment'/'no obligation' basis.
